2020: This is the Year to Live a Delicious Life
Delicious
Let’s begin the new year with the intention to live a delicious life, one that will afford us great pleasure. How do we make this intention reality?

A Note of Love for the New Decade
xoxo Annie
As I reflect on the coming new year and decade, I am reminded of where my life was at the beginning of the last decade. I was struggling with the fallout of several years of some very intense trauma. I was a kid trying to deal with things I did not understand, despite my best efforts to make sense of it all. At times I felt that the crushing weight of these experiences would never change or leave me. I felt as if I could never get my head above the water. Sometimes it still feels this way. Maybe you can relate-- you take two steps forward only to be pushed one step back. Maybe sometimes it's one step forward, two steps back. Whatever joys and challenges our lives bring us, we often don't have it figured out right now like we want. That's ok.
As I look forward to the possibilities for the decade ahead, I see so much potential. And I know that, for me and for you, the key to living our best lives lies in the steps we take each day. Maybe it's not the year for you to save the entire world. But you can greatly impact your world, and the lives of the people around you. Meet each day with the best you have. This doesn't always mean pushing yourself. Sometimes this means being gentler with yourself, taking more time to cultivate healthy friendships, drinking a cup of tea, getting a good night's sleep, or simply bringing attention to your breathing. At other times, you might need to challenge yourself. Go the extra mile to make that healthy, home-cooked meal instead of getting takeout. Make it to that yoga class. Tell yourself you can do it. You can do it. Nourish yourself not only with clean, nutritious food, but also with healthy, life- affirming thoughts, words, and actions.
What can you do for your life and the lives of those around you this year?
Challenge yourself a little.
Encourage yourself a lot.
Be kind and compassionate always.
May the 2020's be your best decade yet.
